The following is a tribute to Mrs. Daniel and her family by Maryan Vander Woude.

Our good Lord took another angel to Himself.

Beloved Mrs. Susie Daniel died on Tuesday, April 24th after a short battle with cancer.

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel are parents to six beloved Seton alumni whom Dan and I either taught or coached or directed. The Daniel's (with the Lalli's) always did the lights for the musicals I directed. All four Daniel boys played basketball for Dan… very well. And Mr. and Mrs. Daniel were always big supporters of Seton, their kids and their activities.

We were thrilled when Mrs. Daniel agreed to bring all of her organization to Seton and take over as school administrator. There are still slips of paper all over my house with her impeccable handwriting. Her quiet but hardworking demeanor was such an asset to her family and to Seton. *I* never saw her lose her even keel, and would have a hard time believing that she ever did.

Her parents also were huge Seton supporters and her Dad, Mr. Hines, served as athletic director at Seton after Mr. West and then Dan replaced Mr. Hines. And Mrs. Hines had the same gentle hardworking way about her as she came to support Seton too.

So our hearts are broken for her husband Jim, and her kids Jennifer (and Joey) Lalli, Phil (and Stephanie) Daniel, Josh (and Leah) Daniel, Jake (and Suzanne) Daniel, Jess (and Marco Uribe) and Joey Daniel. Also for her siblings, her beloved parents Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hines, and her 15 grandchildren. She was so loved.

Her obituary is here.
